Information about the Villa Antiopi

The Villa Antiopi, a stone build house situated in the hills near the small traditional village called Adele, Crete. It is build on 4000m2 land, next to a small road that leads from the beach to the village Adele. The road is mainly used by local farmers and sheeps.

In the village there are tavernas (restaurants), super markets and shops. The distance to the villageof Adeleis about 900m. In the other direction, a small walk downhill of about 1km will bring you right to the beach and to the old national road, where you will find more shops, restaurants and bus stops. Also there are water sports like parasailing, jetskieing and water-skiing availeble on the beach.

The old road is situated between the new national road of the island and the beach. It leads from the east side of Crete, past Heraklion (80km) and beyond to Rethymnon (7km), Ghania and follows the coast to the west side of the island. On the way to Rethymnon you will pass nice small villages like Adelanos Kampos and Platanes. More information of the area can be found here.

Villa Antiopi is 140m2 in size and it is divided over 3 floors

On the ground floor you will find a spacious dining room with an open kitchen, fully equipped. Next to the kitchen there is a small terrace where you can enjoy a relaxing breakfast in the morning sun. The internal stairway will lead you to the lowest (base) floor, where you will find the living room with a fireplace and Sat-TV and a door to the poolside garden and terrace.

Also on this base floor are two bedrooms, one with a single bed and the other with double bed. These bedrooms share a shower room with an "in-shower" water-massage, toilet and washing machine. The single room has a side door on the pool level. All bedrooms have air-conditioning.

From the living room there is a door to the swimming pool, which is 60m2. The new ecologic cleaning system, friendly to nature, does not use chlorine.

The upper internal stairway is leading from the ground floor to the highest floor. On this floor you will find the master bedroom with a double bed. The second bathroom, with bath and toilet, is next to the walk-in closet. The room is completed with a large veranda with a perfect view on swimming pool and surrounding hills.

A beautiful garden with fruit trees, flowers and very old aged olive trees surrounds the house on all sides, with a peaceful view, make our guests feel the independence and the Cretan village way of life. At night the garden is nicely lit with small lamps.

A low wall separates the garden from the, lower placed, rest of the grounds. On the front side of the villa, the wall is a bit higher to give more privacy. There is space to park 2 cars in front of the villa. A, remote operated, electric fence separates the driveway from the road. The grounds outside the garden contain more old olive trees and it makes an ideal playground for kids. It is completely closed with a fence.
